Shares of technology companies fell as traders retreated from risky artificial-intelligence ventures.

Companies taking on major debt loads to fund AI activity, including Oracle and Dell Technologies fell sharply.

Dell rebounded in late trading, however, after AI demand boosted its earnings and revenue growth, which eclipsed Wall Street expectations.

Anthropic signed a cloud-computing deal worth $35 billion with Nvidia-backed cloud provider Lambda, with Nvidia itself holding the lease on the data center.

OpenAI hit back at Apple after the iPhone-maker accused it of trade secret theft, alleging that most of the Mac maker's complaints about former employees were explained by poor offboarding procedures.

SB Energy, an AI infrastructure platform backed by Japanese tech investment firm Softbank, has registered for an initial-public offering.
