Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam is seeking control of at least three Venezuelan oil fields, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the negotiations.

The fields, operated by Alvorada Heavy Industries Ltda in Venezuela's Orinoco Belt, are under contracts US officials are considering revoking, the sources said, according to the report.

Additional Venezuelan oil contract changes are expected this week when US Energy Secretary Chris Wright visits Caracas, Bloomberg said.

Coinbase and The White House did not respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
