The final raise size may exceed that amount as Cognition fields outsize demand for the round, one of the people said, adding that Cognition received nearly US$10 billion in investor interest. Talks are ongoing and details may still change, the people said.\nJust three months ago, Cognition notched a US$26 billion valuation after raising US$1 billion. The startup, which makes the popular AI engineering agent Devin, has recently seen its revenue surge. It is now bringing in more than US$900 million in annualised revenue, one of the people familiar with the matter said. In late May, the startup said its annualised revenue had reached US$492 million.\nCognition did not respond to a request for comment.\nThe Information previously reported that Cognition had reached around US$900 million in annualised revenue. Bloomberg first reported that the startup was in talks for a valuation of at least US$40 billion in early August.\nInvestor interest in Cognition picked up earlier this year after SpaceX announced it could  acquire competitor Cursor for US$60 billion, Bloomberg previously reported.
