Bamboo Insurance Services Files for Initial Public Offering

Homeowners-insurance company Bamboo Insurance Services filed for an initial public offering.
The company said the offering would consist of shares sold by certain selling stockholders, and that it wouldn't receive any of the proceeds. It didn't disclose how many shares it expects to be sold, or at what price.
For the first six months of this year, the company reported a profit of $13.8 million on revenue of $173.4 million. In the same period a year earlier, it logged a profit of $23.7 million on $123.9 million in revenue.
The company said it intends to apply to list shares on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol BMB.
