Spring Airlines' H1 Profit Falls 11%, Revenue Rises 20%

Spring Airlines' (SHA:601021) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first half fell 11% to 1.04 billion yuan from 1.17 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Saturday.

The airline company's shares slipped 1% at the close of Monday's trade.

Earnings per share dropped 10% year on year to 1.08 yuan from 1.20 yuan.

Operating revenue rose 20% to 12.3 billion yuan from 10.3 billion yuan in the previous year.

The company recommended a cash dividend of 0.33 yuan per share for the period.
