Cheniere Energy Substantially Completes Texas LNG Expansion Project; Produces, Exports 5,000th LNG Cargo From US Gulf Coast

Cheniere Energy (LNG) said Monday that it has achieved substantial completion of the Corpus Christi Liquefaction Stage 3 Project in Texas with the turnover of the seventh and last train of the project by engineering, procurement and construction contractor Bechtel Energy.

The project expands Cheniere's production capacity of liquefied natural gas by more than 20% to 56 million metric tons per annum, the company said.

Additionally, Cheniere said it has produced and exported its 5,000th cargo of LNG from its US Gulf Coast operations.
