0015 GMT - JGBs rise in the early Tokyo session, tracking overnight price gains in U.S. Treasury market. Both JGBs and Treasurys tend to move in tandem. Japan's government bond market may also be buoyed by falling oil prices, which could lead to lower inflation in Japan. "One could argue that the tail risks of a full escalation in the Middle East have eased again," ING's Economic and Financial Analysis Division says in a research report. "Besides geopolitical headlines, the U.S. PCE data [due later today] should draw markets' attention," the division adds. The five-year JGB yield is 1.5 bps lower at 2.125%.
