1623 GMT -- The U.A.E. debt capital market is likely to grow moderately in the second half of 2026 and into 2027, supported by government diversification plans, cross-sector financing needs and regulatory reforms, Fitch Ratings says. Total U.S. dollar debt issuance reached $24 billion in the first half, up 40% from the second half of 2025. "U.A.E. issuers have generally maintained market access so far in 2026 despite regional volatilities," says Bashar Al Natoor, Fitch's global head of Islamic finance. The debt market stood at about $320 billion outstanding at end-June, with sukuk accounting for 21%.
