Biokin Pharma's Phase III Trial on Izabren Meets Primary Endpoint; Shares Up 4%

Sichuan Biokin Pharmaceutical (SHA:688506) said the phase III clinical trial of Izabren, a drug tested on breast cancer patients, met its primary endpoint, according to a Wednesday disclosure on the Shanghai bourse.
The test was conducted on recurrent or metastatic HR-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer patients, who have previously failed at least one line of chemotherapy.
The Chinese pharmaceutical company conducted more than 40 clinical trials in China and the U.S., including 20 phase III studies, on the drug. The drug is also used as a treatment for nasopharyngeal carcinoma and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
The company's shares jumped 4% during the morning trade.
