BYD Electronic (International)'s (HKG:0285) attributable profit slid 75% to 426.3 million yuan in the first half from 1.73 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
Earnings per share at the smartphone and notebook components maker plunged to 0.19 yuan from 0.77 yuan in the prior-year period.
Revenue grew 2% year over year to 82.2 billion yuan from 80.6 billion yuan.
