0940 ET - Life Time is trying to become a large-scale country club rather than just a gym chain, Chief Executive Bahram Akradi tells CNBC. Akradi sees Life Time as a competitor with Four Seasons, and not Planet Fitness or Equinox. The company has invested in expanding the types of services it offers, including longevity clinics, GLP-1 access and co-working spaces. It has also built more locations anchored to residential buildings. Akradi says the goal is to get people to use Life Time's services more frequently and for more services, rather than just to work out a few times a week.
