Cytokinetics (CYTK) said Friday its drug aficamten met both primary endpoints of a Phase 3 clinical trial treating a non-obstructive heart muscle disorder.
The medication improved patient-reported symptoms and overall exercise capacity over a 36-week period compared to a placebo, the company said.
The company plans to submit a supplemental application for the treatment to the US Food and Drug Administration in Q4, it said.
The drug was generally well-tolerated by participants throughout the study, Cytokinetics said.
Shares of the company were up 1.3% in Friday premarket activity.
