道明证券商品研究主管Bart Melek在最新分析中指出，当前的政策立场可能在短期内对黄金构成显著的下行压力。Melek认为，市场已将近期美联储的表态解读为更倾向于在9月和12月提高政策利率，这一预期与之前的市场判断形成明显反差。
Melek进一步解释道，这种政策预期的转变直接导致了短期利率的上行以及美元汇率的走强，从而对以美元计价的黄金价格形成压制。与此同时，他特别强调，由于近期美国财政部对国债市场长期利率进行了干预，金融环境一度有所放松，交易员借此推高了黄金价格。
基于上述分析，Melek预计黄金价格可能会回吐近期录得的部分涨幅，并在年底前回落至每盎司4200至4700美元交易区间的下沿。不过，他同时补充了积极展望：一旦通胀趋于稳定，美联储将有信心逐步解除当前的紧缩政策，从而为实现充分就业目标创造条件。这一预期将支撑道明证券设定的2027年第三季度金价目标，即国际金价届时有望上涨至每盎司5350美元。
