Shenzhen Investment Forms Sustainability Committee, Names Wang Yuwen as Chair

Shenzhen Investment Limited has set up a Sustainability Committee effective 27 August 2026 to strengthen oversight of the Group’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) agenda.

The new board-level body is tasked with guiding and monitoring ESG and corporate social-responsibility strategy, managing climate-related risks and opportunities, ensuring regulatory and listing compliance, assessing stakeholder impacts and reviewing annual sustainability reports prior to full-board approval.

The committee consists of three directors: executive directors Mr. Wang Yuwen and Mr. Yan Zhongyu, alongside independent non-executive director Prof. Gong Peng. Mr. Wang Yuwen, currently Chairman of the Board, will also serve as Chairman of the Sustainability Committee.

Following this move, Shenzhen Investment’s board remains at seven members: four executive directors (Mr. Wang Yuwen, Ms. Cai Xun, Mr. Yan Zhongyu and Dr. Xiang Dong) and three independent non-executive directors (Mr. Li Wai Keung, Dr. Wong Yau Kar, David and Prof. Gong Peng). Updated committee composition and terms of reference will be posted on both the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the company’s websites.
