Maanshan Iron & Steel Company Limited (commonly known as Maanshan Iron & Steel) has promoted Deputy General Manager Fu Ming to serve as General Manager, effective 28 August 2026. The appointment was approved at the 54th meeting of the company’s 10th board session after prior endorsement by the board’s nomination committee.

Fu Ming, 58, holds a master’s degree in engineering and the title of senior engineer. Since joining Maanshan Iron & Steel in August 1991, he has held successive leadership roles, including deputy plant director and plant director of the No. 2 Steel Plant, manager of the production department, and, from October 2017, deputy general manager. Since December 2024, he has also served as general manager of Maanshan Iron & Steel Limited Company, an affiliate.

The new General Manager currently owns no shares in Maanshan Iron & Steel and has no disclosed ties to the company’s directors, senior management, or major shareholders. The board confirmed that no legal or regulatory impediments exist to his appointment, and no further disclosures are required under Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules.

Fu Ming’s annual remuneration will be set according to the company’s performance-based framework for senior management and detailed in the forthcoming annual report. The remuneration committee will oversee his performance appraisal and prepare an annual remuneration report for board approval.

The board welcomed Fu Ming’s appointment in a statement signed by Chairman Jiang Yuxiang. Current board composition includes Executive Director Jiang Yuxiang, Employee Director Tang Qiming, and Independent Non-Executive Directors Guan Bingchun, He Anrui, Qiu Shengtao, and Zeng Xiangfei.
