Unity Software Inc.'s stock surged 15.59% in after-hours trading on Thursday, following the release of preliminary first-quarter financial results that significantly exceeded the company's own guidance.

The company announced it expects Q1 2026 revenue of $505 million to $508 million, well above its previous guidance range of $480 million to $490 million. Adjusted EBITDA is projected to be $130 million to $135 million, also surpassing the guided range of $105 million to $110 million and representing 58% year-over-year growth. Management attributed the outperformance to robust sequential growth from its Unity Vector platform and better-than-expected performance in its Create segment.

Concurrently, Unity announced strategic actions to enhance future growth and profitability, including sunsetting its ironSource Ads Network effective April 30 and initiating the divestiture process for its Supersonic game publishing business. The company stated these moves are expected to accelerate revenue growth and improve Adjusted EBITDA margins going forward.
