Where to begin

Strengthening its foundations, the company demonstrated resilient power supply capabilities. Adhering to a bottom-line approach, the firm implemented penetrating oversight and maintained stable, secure energy and electricity delivery. Routine hazard inspections and equipment rectification programs were carried out during peak winter and summer demand periods, alongside critical political power protection phases. By coordinating coal procurement and reinforcing safety inventory buffers, the company successfully concluded its first-half supply assurance mandate, underscoring its role as a pillar among central power enterprises.

Resilient performance amid headwinds

Despite challenging market dynamics marked by numerous uncertainties, the company deepened its lean management practices. With a marketing-driven strategy, fuel-focused operations, and policy-aligned initiatives, it maximized operational outcomes. Profit before tax reached RMB 8.715 billion, up 13.61% year-on-year, setting a new record for the same period in corporate history.

Accelerating green transformation

Through dedicated efforts, the company intensified its green transition. Development mechanisms were refined, and a special "Riding the Wind and Harnessing the Sun" campaign was launched to accelerate the deployment of strategic emerging industries centered on new energy. By the end of June 2026, clean energy installed capacity reached 37,177.765 MW, accounting for 43.27% of total capacity, further enriching the company's green development profile.

Driving down financing costs

Persistent efforts in cost leadership initiatives have driven a steady decline in financing expenses. The company aggressively expanded low-cost funding channels, achieving industry-leading coupon rates. Comprehensive financing costs came in at 2.28%, a reduction of 15 basis points year-on-year and 5 basis points lower than at the start of the year, marking the best-ever financing cost reduction performance for the period.
