Aug, 28 2026 – Seatrium Limited announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Seatrium Energy (Americas) Pte. Ltd. (“SEA”) has been charged under section 12(1) read with section 20 of Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health Act 2006 in connection with a March 2022 workplace incident that occurred before the merger that formed the current group.

The charge alleges that SEA failed, so far as was reasonably practicable, to take necessary measures to ensure the safety and health of employees at work. In addition, former Keppel Shipyard Limited managing director Chor How Jat—now Seatrium’s chief operating officer—and a former employee of Keppel Shipyard have been charged under the same sections read with section 48(1) of the Act for allegedly committing the same offence.

SEA and the two individuals appeared before the State Courts on Aug, 27 2026, and proceedings are ongoing. Seatrium stated that workplace safety remains a core priority and it will update shareholders on any material developments.

The company said the charge is not expected to have any material impact on the group’s earnings or net tangible asset per share.
