On August 26, municipal Party Secretary Fan Shaojun conducted a special research tour of several high-tech enterprises and key project sites in Haikou, focusing on the development of the advanced manufacturing sector.

His first stops included Hainan Hangxin High-Tech Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Hainan Huaxin Zhizao Semiconductor Co., Ltd., where he examined advanced packaging technology application samples and gained insights into their R&D, operational status, and future capacity expansion plans. He emphasized that the integrated circuit industry is a vital pillar for driving technological innovation and industrial upgrading. Leveraging the open policies of the Hainan Free Trade Port and regional advantages, he stressed the need to strengthen application-driven development, deepen the integration of technological and industrial innovation, and steadily expand production capacity to build a clustered, large-scale semiconductor ecosystem. He called on all departments to refine working mechanisms, enhance service guarantees, and promptly resolve challenges encountered by businesses to facilitate their faster and better development.

The tour then proceeded to the Jiangdong New Area to visit Hainan Hongwang Semiconductor Co., Ltd. and Hainan Hanwei Zhigan Technology Co., Ltd., both key high-tech enterprises in the area. At the project sites, Fan Shaojun inspected products, learned about business operations, and listened to their development plans. He encouraged Hongwang Semiconductor to accelerate its project timeline to commence production on schedule, and to leverage its role as a "chain leader" to contribute to the agglomeration of Haikou's semiconductor industry. He also motivated Hanwei Zhigan Technology to capitalize on its leading position in gas sensor technology, deepen industry-academia-research collaboration with Hainan University, and continuously extend and strengthen the industrial chain to build a R&D and production base rooted in Hainan with a global outlook.

Next, he visited three long-established Haikou-based enterprises: Hainan Weili Medical Technology Development Co., Ltd., Haikou Yecai Food Co., Ltd., and Hainan Senqi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which hold differentiated competitive advantages in medical catheter consumables, coconut processing, and southern medicine and Li medicine, respectively. Fan walked through their production workshops to observe the operation of intelligent production lines and new product development. He engaged in in-depth discussions with company leaders on topics such as leveraging Free Trade Port policies and market expansion, encouraging them to intensify R&D and innovation so that more "Made in Haikou" products can reach the global market and transform Hainan's unique resources into competitive specialty industries.

At the Fuxing City Industrial Park in Longhua District, Fan Shaojun visited the New Ziguang Hainan Industrial Base to review its operational reports. He encouraged the company to maintain confidence, seize opportunities, and leverage the advantages of the Free Trade Port policies to attract more upstream and downstream enterprises, thereby injecting strong momentum into Haikou's high-standard construction as the core leading zone of the Hainan Free Trade Port and its "Six Cities" initiative.
