S&P Global has released the August purchasing managers' index for France's manufacturing sector, showing a rise to 51.1 from July's reading of 49.8. This figure, however, comes in lower than the preliminary estimate of 51.5 released earlier.

Compared to the same month last year, when the index stood at 50.4, the current reading indicates a continued expansion in the sector. The upward movement from the previous month suggests a modest improvement in manufacturing conditions, despite the downward revision from the flash data.
