PROSPER FUTURE (01259) has published its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, reporting a 20.37% year-on-year increase in revenue to HK$318 million. The group recorded a profit attributable to equity holders of the company of HK$37.85 million during the period, marking a turnaround from a loss in the prior corresponding period. The company posted a loss per share of 1.72 HK cents.
According to the announcement, during the reporting period, the group's food and beverage services segment generated revenue of approximately HK$178 million, reflecting a decline of about 16.6% compared with approximately HK$214 million in the same period last year. Hong Kong's catering industry continues to face a range of headwinds. Although various macroeconomic indicators show some signs of stabilisation, consumer sentiment remains weak. The increasingly competitive landscape, shifts in consumption patterns, and the rising trend of cross-border and overseas spending continue to weigh on the sector's performance. Meanwhile, escalating operating costs have added to management challenges and exerted further pressure on businesses.
