Official monitoring data from the ride-hailing regulatory information exchange system shows that as of July 31, 2026, a total of 402 ride-hailing platform companies nationwide had obtained operating permits, an increase of one compared to the previous month.
The system received 1.047 billion ride orders in July. An analysis of the month's performance reveals several notable trends:
Top Platforms by Compliance Rate
Among the top 10 platforms by order volume, ranked by order compliance rate (the proportion of orders where both the driver and vehicle hold valid permits) from highest to lowest, are: Xixing Yueche, Ruqi Mobility, T3 Mobility, Jishi Yongche, Xiangdao Chuxing, Caocao Mobility, Yangguang Chuxing, Shouqi Yueche, Didi Chuxing, and Huaxiaozhu Chuxing.
Aggregator platforms, which connect passengers with multiple ride-hailing services, completed 323 million orders, with average daily order volume declining 4.5% month-on-month. Their compliance rankings from highest to lowest are: Didi Chuxing, Huaxiaozhu Chuxing, Amap Dache, Baidu Dache, Ctrip Yongche, Tencent Chuxing, and Meituan Dache.

Among major central cities, the compliance rankings from highest to lowest are: Shenzhen, Xiamen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Jinan, Nanjing, Nanning, Nanchang, Fuzhou, Hefei, Ningbo, Xining, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Tianjin, Changsha, Haikou, Changchun, Guiyang, Kunming, Taiyuan, Shijiazhuang, Dalian, Urumqi, Hohhot, Lhasa, Shanghai, Yinchuan, Wuhan, Lanzhou, Xi'an, Harbin, Shenyang, and Beijing.
A total of 25 cities, including Shenzhen, Xiamen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Jinan, Nanjing, Nanning, Nanchang, Fuzhou, Hefei, Ningbo, Xining, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Tianjin, Changsha, Haikou, Changchun, Guiyang, Kunming, Taiyuan, Shijiazhuang, and Dalian, all recorded compliance rates above 80%.
The top three cities showing the largest month-over-month improvement in compliance rates were Shanghai, Shenyang, and Nanning. Conversely, the cities with the most significant declines were Lanzhou (down 3.1%), Lhasa (down 3.9%), and Harbin (down 6.1%).
