Recent efforts by Hubei Province's state-owned enterprises have centered on strengthening brand development across key areas such as digital services, logistics corridors, transportation services, and cultural tourism integration. These initiatives have produced a range of innovative, highly recognizable, and impactful practices that offer replicable pathways for enhancing the quality of state-owned enterprise brands.
AI-Driven Service Matching Model Launched, Digital Service Brand Scenarios Upgraded
In July, the Hubei Big Data Group hosted the "AI Enterprise Engagement Special Event — OpenDay" at the Xiaohongshan Data Industry Park AI Factory, attracting over a hundred representatives from provincial state-owned enterprises, technical experts, and ecosystem partners. The event marked a significant shift in the group's brand strategy from "one-way corporate storytelling" to "immersive user experiences."
The event showcased the group's full-stack service capabilities, with attendees touring the AI factory's production lines and the Hubei Provincial Artificial Intelligence Public Service Platform. The province's computing power interconnection platform now monitors over 7,000P of computing resources and enables dispatch of more than 2,000P. The AI public service platform has integrated nearly 200 mainstream models, including DeepSeek, Qwen, Zhipu AI, and MiniMax, and hosts nearly one hundred intelligent agents, providing robust infrastructure support for the digital transformation of state-owned enterprises.
The event adopted a demand-driven model where enterprises presented real-world AI application challenges and technical teams provided tailored solutions. In response to concerns about high token procurement costs from major tech providers, the platform offered a cost-reduction plan leveraging standardized AI factory production processes, combined with computing power vouchers and token discounts. The event effectively bridged the gap between AI service supply and demand, creating a replicable template for future scenario-based and experience-oriented brand activities.
China-Europe Railway Express Responds to Overseas Demand, Logistics Service Brand Strengthens
In response to sustained high temperatures across Europe since the start of summer 2026, which triggered a surge in demand for cooling equipment, the operator of the Wuhan China-Europe Railway Express — Haneo International — quickly developed logistics solutions tailored to this sudden market need, highlighting the unique balance between efficiency and cost offered by the rail service.
Haneo International closely monitored international market trends and activated rapid response protocols upon detecting the spike in European cooling demand. The company proactively engaged with appliance manufacturers such as AUX and Midea to assess production capacity, shipment schedules, and export requirements, enabling precise decisions on capacity allocation.
Customized shipping and container loading plans were designed to account for the characteristics of air conditioning units and European delivery timelines. Route optimization based on customer distribution ensured seamless coordination from factory production to train dispatch, with shipments routed through key European hubs including Małaszewicze in Poland, Duisburg in Germany, and Milan in Italy. A cross-departmental coordination mechanism involving the Wuhan Railway Bureau, Hankou Customs, CR Intermodal, and the Wuhan Central Station facilitated smooth operations across planning approval, customs clearance, container logistics, and loading — streamlining the entire chain from factory production through rail transport to final retail placement.
The effectiveness of these efforts was validated in June, when air conditioner and component volumes on the Wuhan China-Europe Railway Express grew 88.24% year-on-year. With reliable transit times of 15 to 20 days — nearly half the duration of sea freight — "Made in Hubei" air conditioners reached European consumers, alleviating supply constraints in the European cooling market. This operation not only supported appliance manufacturers in expanding overseas markets but also established a replicable logistics model for "Made in China" products responding to sudden international demand.
"Chutianshu" Service Brand System Takes Shape, Transportation-Industry Integration Gains Traction
In January 2026, Hubei Communications Investment Group launched the "Chutianshu" unified comprehensive service brand, built around the core value proposition of "Smooth Travel through Hubei, Comfortable Journeys." Encompassing retail, energy, and cultural creative business clusters, the brand has advanced steadily over the past six months and serves as a key vehicle for the group's "transportation-industry integration" and service upgrade initiatives.
The brand's visual identity system has been largely completed, with standardized color schemes, dedicated typography, and multi-scenario adaptable signage. Specifications for metal baking paint illuminated lettering materials, craftsmanship, and installation standards have been defined, forming a comprehensive VI foundation. To date, 15 service areas, including the Wuchangyu Service Area, have installed brand signage, significantly enhancing brand recognition.
The commercial ecosystem is expanding rapidly, with 41 "Chutianshu Yigou" convenience stores now operating, emphasizing fresh food convenience and offering over 20 value-priced items at urban-consistent prices. A "one area, one specialty" initiative has been promoted, with "Jingchu Premium Products" dedicated counters driving sales of more than 300 types of regional specialty products. The Wuchangyu Service Area has been developed as the country's first themed service area combining the "Wuchang Fish IP" with Wu culture, attracting well-known consumer brands and continuously enriching the commercial mix and service quality.
Progress has also been made in transportation-energy integration and cultural services. In June, Hubei's first "Chutianshu" mobile energy storage and charging vehicle was deployed at the Xiaogan Service Area, marking a new milestone in integrated transportation-energy development. The "Chutianshu Literary Performance Troupe" has conducted 72 performances at service areas, creating a notable cultural flash-mob effect. During the Spring Festival travel rush, a festive experience zone themed "Chutianshu — Discovering Joy on the Road" combined Jingchu culture, digital services, and warm hospitality, further enriching the brand's appeal.
