Frasers Property (TQ5) announced on Aug, 28 2026 that its shareholders have approved the proposed optimisation of the company’s hospitality assets held under Frasers Hospitality Trust (FHT).

At an extraordinary general meeting, 99.07 % of the votes cast supported the ordinary resolution, allowing the group to advance to the next phase of its hospitality strategy following the October 2025 privatisation of FHT.

Group Chief Financial Officer Loo Choo Leong said the transaction will unlock capital from mature assets, enhance financial flexibility and give the company full ownership of Fraser Suites Singapore, supporting redevelopment plans for the wider Valley Point site.

Eu Chin Fen, Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Hospitality, added that the move will create a more focused and capital-efficient hospitality platform while preserving scale and recurring income.

Completion of the transaction is targeted by the end of FY2026, subject to regulatory and third-party approvals. Frasers Property said it will provide further updates when material developments occur.
