On August 28, the Liaoning Embodied Intelligence Industry Technology Innovation Alliance and the Shenyang Embodied Intelligence Industry Technology Innovation Alliance completed their formation procedures and officially entered the stage of substantive operations. The two alliances have attracted more than 100 founding members, covering the entire industry chain, including universities, research institutes, leading enterprises, investment and service institutions, with the collaborative platform of "industry-academia-research-application-capital" beginning to take shape.

As a core frontier track in artificial intelligence, embodied intelligence is a key lever for Liaoning to cultivate new quality productive forces and empower the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing sector. The two alliances were officially inaugurated during the Shenyang Robot Conference held in June. This meeting reviewed and approved the alliance charters, and elected organizational bodies such as the council and the technical expert committee, laying the institutional and organizational foundation for the standardized operation of the alliances.

Among them, the Liaoning Embodied Intelligence Industry Technology Innovation Alliance is chaired by Shenyang Industry Investment Group, with Northeastern University serving as co-chair. Fifteen institutions, including Dalian University of Technology, the Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Siasun Robot, serve as vice-chairman units. The Shenyang Embodied Intelligence Industry Technology Innovation Alliance is led by Shenyang Xinju Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. (Northeast Asia Embodied Intelligence Innovation Center).

After launch, the alliances will focus on three core missions: jointly tackling key technologies and product development for embodied intelligence and embodied intelligent robots; promoting the application of cutting-edge technologies in scenarios such as intelligent manufacturing, elderly care services, and logistics; and building a routine technology exchange and service platform to systematically solve common bottlenecks encountered by enterprises during development. At the conference, Shenyang Xinju Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. signed agreements with Northeastern University, Qingdao University of Technology, Jinzhiliang Robot Technology (Shenyang) Co., Ltd., and Hengyuan Zhiqi Embodied Intelligence Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The parties will jointly build an embodied intelligent robot laboratory, opening a linkage channel between scientific research resources and the industrial sector, creating a physical carrier for tackling key technical challenges and cultivating high-end talent.

It is understood that the province has incorporated embodied intelligence into its key future industry layout. It will coordinate the implementation of major science and technology projects, deploy various innovation platforms, guide social capital toward this track, and continuously improve the policy support system to create a favorable ecosystem for industrial development.
