Iran Announces Missile and Drone Strikes on US Bases

Iran's armed forces have commenced operations against the United States, with missiles and drones reportedly striking American bases and interests in the region, according to Iranian sources on September 1st. The exact locations and targets of these strikes have not yet been disclosed.

Earlier, multiple explosions were heard in the vicinity of southern Iran's Qeshm Island and the Strait of Hormuz. There have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage to facilities.

The US Central Command has stated that American forces initiated strikes against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets inside Iran at 12:00 PM Eastern Time on September 1st. In response, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces issued a statement on the same day, declaring that Iran will deliver a devastating blow to the American enemy in retaliation for the US airstrikes on targets in Sistan-Baluchestan and Hormozgan provinces.
