In the wake of the mudslide disaster in Gyirong County, Shigatse, Xizang, the Ministry of Emergency Management has mobilized national work safety emergency rescue teams for cross-regional reinforcement, providing full support to local rescue operations. On September 1, three national work safety emergency rescue teams—the National Work Safety Emergency Rescue Survey Team, the National Tunnel Emergency Rescue CCCC Construction Chongqing Team, and the National Tunnel Emergency Rescue China Railway Erju Xizang Team—assembled at the site, bringing specialized equipment such as slope radar, drones, and life detectors to form a joint monitoring group for the landslide-dammed lake at Gyirong Port.

The joint monitoring group is now conducting continuous on-site surveillance of the dam body, the southern bank landslide mass, and the corner mountain body at the lower reaches of the stream bed downstream of the landslide-dammed lake.
