On August 17th, Guizhou Suanjia Computing Services Co., Ltd. finalized a significant partnership, agreeing with Beijing-based SiliconFlow and Guizhou Shujia Technology to jointly operate computing power. The collaboration will leverage the computing resources of the Guiyang-Anshun New Area to efficiently convert raw computing capacity into token services, establishing a dedicated token factory. "The high compatibility of resources and strong complementarity of the cooperation make the joint construction of the token factory a natural step," said Yang Jiawei, General Manager of Suanjia Computing.
SiliconFlow is a leading AI infrastructure service provider in China, with its token supply platform having amassed over ten million registered users. This deal involves deploying its complete AI computing operation solution to local enterprises in Guian. "All the groundwork was laid, and it coincided perfectly with the AI boom," Yang Jiawei told reporters. Suanjia's revenue trajectory has been remarkable, growing from less than 10,000 yuan in 2022 to over 10 million yuan in 2025. Contract amounts for the first half of this year have already reached 50 million yuan, with full-year signings projected to exceed 100 million yuan.
The 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo is set to open in Guiyang on August 28th, themed "Tokens: A New Path for Unleashing the Value of Data Elements." This recent cooperation underscores the exponential growth of China's token economy. At the beginning of 2024, the national average daily token calls were 100 billion. By the end of 2025, this figure had surged to 100 trillion, and by June of this year, it had skyrocketed to nearly 175 trillion.
In Guizhou, the brand direction of "Need Tokens? Find Guizhou" is now clearly established. In July, the province released targeted support policies offering subsidies of up to 500,000 yuan for enterprises purchasing large model token services and rewards of up to 5 million yuan for building high-quality datasets. The "Guiyang-Guian Token Economy Three-Year Action Plan (2026-2028)" has also been outlined, focusing on strengthening intelligent computing services, data element supply, application scenario traction, and industrial ecosystem cultivation.
Refining Computing Power: From Full Renting to Pay-per-Token
Suanjia Computing was co-founded in January 2022 by the Guian Supercomputing Center and Guizhou University. It launched its Suanjia Cloud Platform in October 2024 and opened its Suanqiao API token platform in May of this year. "The Suanjia Cloud Platform has nearly 60,000 registered users, with over 90% coming from provinces and cities with high computing demand like Guangdong, Shanghai, and Beijing," Yang Jiawei explained. Currently, the Suanqiao API hosts more than 60 mainstream large models, including DeepSeek, Zhipu, and Kimi, with daily token call volumes exceeding 1 billion within two weeks of launch.
Suanjia packages computing power into token services, charging clients based on their consumed Token volume. "You pay for what you use, which lowers the entry barrier," Yang noted. Computing power is segmented and billed by time and Token usage, offering a more precise and flexible pricing model. The company invested two years in developing a distributed computing scheduling system, boosting GPU utilization rates from the industry average of 30%-40% to an impressive 60%-70%. Combined with optimization at the model inference layer, the platform can offer prices at around 50% of the market average.
The high proportion of out-of-province users on the Guizhou AI Data Factory is seen by Yang Jiawei as both a success of the "Eastern Data, Western Computing" strategy and a reflection of the local market's current stage. "External demand for computing power is higher than local demand, and computing costs in the east are also higher than in Guizhou," he said. However, the company is actively seeking provincial collaborations, building industry-specific small models based on open-source ecosystems and sector data. He has observed that some local AIGC companies still prefer to directly call upon overseas or out-of-province computing interfaces from official large models, but "clients using open-source ecosystems or building industry agents can collaborate with us deeply. This is Suanjia's next opportunity to expand the local ecosystem."
This robust computing foundation is rapidly transforming into token services. The computing power scale in Guiyang-Guian has surpassed 174 EFLOPS, with intelligent computing accounting for over 98%. The province now has 50 data centers under construction or in operation, with 400G high-speed computing channels directly connecting to the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The utilization rate of this computing power exceeds 96%, with out-of-province customers accounting for over 90%. In 2025, the province's computing operation service revenue reached 82.4 billion yuan.
Aggregating the Ecosystem: From Selling Compute to Selling Tokens
"Computing power is just the entry ticket," said Deng Mingsen, Dean of the School of Information at Guizhou University of Finance and Economics and Director of the Provincial Key Laboratory of Computing and Network Integration. He believes Guizhou's true advantage lies in the vast amounts of real, vertical, and professional industrial and public data accumulated through over a decade of digital transformation. As the province makes this leap from computing to tokens, local enterprises are quickly positioning themselves.
"Our platform's average daily Token call volume has grown rapidly from under 3 billion at the start of 2026 to hundreds of billions now," said Peng Hailin, Director of DataBao and Rotating General Manager of its AI Token line, showcasing the latest data from TokenBao on August 20th. In May, DataBao established its subsidiary TokenBao, spinning off its core token business. Leveraging its parent company's 20-plus years of data governance expertise, it's building a comprehensive service system featuring "intelligent routing and scheduling, industry-level optimization, and compliant and stable supply."
"Our core team's 20-plus years of legally authorized data systems form the foundation, allowing us to produce 'data-native' Tokens that are difficult for others to replicate quickly," Peng explained. DataBao has constructed a nationwide public data network, an idle computing scheduling network, and an all-scenario application network. TokenBao is currently building China's first "Three-in-One" full-chain platform integrating Data API, Token API, and Compute API. The Data API directly connects to over 50 ministries and commissions, more than 10 provinces, and over 100 state-owned enterprises. The Compute API integrates with a national intelligent computing base of million-PFLOPS scale, while the Token API offers both general and vertical-specific services. Previously, building an AI application required negotiating separate contracts for data, computing, and Tokens, a process that often took weeks. Now, with "one access point for full-chain connectivity," developers can integrate all three in just minutes.
Connecting Scenarios: From Technology to Experience
On August 3rd, the AI tourism product "Banzhi Mengxing" from Ganshengtengwei Technology was launched on Taiping Road in Yunyan District, Guiyang, attracting over 2,000 users on its first day. "You scan a QR code, upload a photo, and within seconds you get a cyberpunk-style photo of yourself in the old street," said Ms. Chen, a tourist from Guangdong, who immediately shared her image on social media. The conversion rate for this experience was around 50%. "Tourism is the easiest scenario for ordinary people to perceive the value of AI," said Feng Yuwei, General Manager of Ganshengtengwei. "We need to turn abstract tokens into products that tourists can experience, purchase, and share."
The "Banzhi Mengxing" project has already enabled visitors to the "Red Ribbon" attraction to shift from being passive observers to creators of shareable digital memorial content. In the Yunyan district, the product has been rolled out at various points including Taiping Road, Minsheng Road, Shengfu Road, Radio Street, and Wenchang Pavilion. "Taiping Road has a cyberpunk style, but we deliberately avoided that on Minsheng Road because it's a snack street with a more local, everyday vibe," noted Liu Ziyun, the project's executive lead. The company is also collaborating with the "Colorful Guizhou Style" show at the Guiyang Grand Theatre, aiming to capture the emotions of the moment through AI and tourism.
AI short dramas are also experiencing significant growth. At the Yunyan AI Data Factory, Guizhou Yalu Yinghua Digital Technology Co., Ltd. is pivoting from contract work to producing its own content. "At the beginning of this year, producing a one-minute commissioned drama was priced at 2,000 yuan, but after April, it dropped to under 1,000 yuan," said General Manager Zou Hailong. A B-grade drama can now be completed in two days, and an A-grade one in a week, with overall costs being roughly one-tenth of traditional film and television productions. The company is working with the Guizhou Cultural Equity Exchange to explore local cultural IPs.
Deng Mingsen predicts, "In 3 to 5 years, Guizhou will not simply become an industry that sells tokens. Instead, it will form a new AI industrial ecosystem integrating computing supply, token production, model services, scenario applications, and value settlement. In the token economy era, Guizhou should leap from selling computing power to selling AI production capabilities."
