At its 2026 interim results conference held on August 28, Industrial Bank Co., Ltd. reaffirmed its strong commitment to shareholder returns. The bank highlighted that last year's redemption of high-cost preference shares saved nearly 2 billion yuan in dividend expenses, further strengthening its capacity to reward investors.
While the bank's net profit attributable to ordinary shareholders for the first half of the year remained essentially flat year-on-year, dipping just 0.1%, this modest decline is not expected to materially affect the base for interim dividends. In May, shareholders authorized the board to determine the interim dividend plan, with a ceiling set at one-third of distributable profits.
The bank's president underscored a consistent philosophy: "Over the past decade, we have steadily raised our dividend payout ratio, and we intend to maintain this upward trend going forward." This statement signals confidence in sustained profitability and a durable policy of prioritizing investor returns.
