China Railway Construction Posts 18.8% Drop in First-Half Net Profit Attributable to Shareholders

China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (01186) has unveiled its financial results for the first half of 2026, reporting a net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company of RMB 8.69 billion.

This figure represents a decrease of 18.8% compared to the same period last year. The company generated total operating revenue of RMB 428.438 billion during the period, a year-on-year reduction of 12.42%.

Basic earnings per share stood at RMB 0.55 for the six-month period. In terms of new contract wins, the group secured a total of RMB 878.1583 billion in new contracts during the first half of 2026, marking a decline of 16.85% year-on-year.

Breaking down the new contract figures by geographic region, domestic operations contributed RMB 754.6628 billion, accounting for 85.94% of the total new contracts. This represents a year-on-year downturn of 19.89%. Meanwhile, overseas business secured RMB 123.4955 billion in new contracts, making up 14.06% of the total, demonstrating resilience with a growth rate of 8.24% compared to the prior year.

Focusing on the group's core business segments, infrastructure construction projects—encompassing both engineering contracting and green environmental protection industries—achieved new contract wins of RMB 746.0333 billion. This accounted for 84.95% of the total newly signed contracts during the reporting period, a decrease of 16.72% year-on-year.
