Ride-hailing Sector Sees 1.047 Billion Orders in July, Ministry of Transport Reports

Data from the ride-hailing regulatory information interchange system shows that as of July 31, 2026, a total of 402 ride-hailing platform companies nationwide had obtained operating permits, an increase of one compared to the previous month. The system received 1.047 billion ride orders during July.

Several key trends emerged from the July data. Among the top 10 platforms by order volume, ranked by compliance rate (the proportion of orders where both driver and vehicle are licensed) from highest to lowest, were 喜行约车, 如祺出行, T3出行, 及时用车, 享道出行, 曹操出行, 阳光出行, 首汽约车, 滴滴出行, and 花小猪出行. Notably, aggregation platforms that connect passengers with ride-hailing companies completed 323 million orders, with average daily orders declining by 4.5% month-on-month. Among these aggregators, compliance rates from highest to lowest were 滴滴出行, 花小猪出行, 高德打车, 百度打车, 携程用车, 腾讯出行, and 美团打车.

In major cities, compliance rates ranked from highest to lowest were observed in Shenzhen, Xiamen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Jinan, Nanjing, Nanning, Nanchang, Fuzhou, Hefei, Ningbo, Xining, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Tianjin, Changsha, Haikou, Changchun, Guiyang, Kunming, Taiyuan, Shijiazhuang, Dalian, Urumqi, Hohhot, Lhasa, Shanghai, Yinchuan, Wuhan, Lanzhou, Xi'an, Harbin, Shenyang, and Beijing. Among these, 25 cities including Shenzhen, Xiamen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Jinan, Nanjing, Nanning, Nanchang, Fuzhou, Hefei, Ningbo, Xining, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Tianjin, Changsha, Haikou, Changchun, Guiyang, Kunming, Taiyuan, Shijiazhuang, and Dalian achieved compliance rates above 80%. Shanghai, Shenyang, and Nanning recorded the most significant month-on-month improvements in compliance rates, while Lanzhou (-3.1%), Lhasa (-3.9%), and Harbin (-6.1%) saw the largest declines.
