WAI KEE HOLD (00610) has announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, revealing a notable financial turnaround. The group generated revenue from goods and services of HK$6.023 billion, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 13.17%. However, profit attributable to company owners reached HK$55.589 million, a sharp contrast to the loss of HK$3.145 billion recorded during the same period last year. Basic earnings per share stood at HK$0.07.

The outlook for construction workloads remains positive, driven by increased government spending on infrastructure projects, public housing developments, and initiatives in the Northern Metropolis. Despite this favorable demand environment, contractors continue to face intense market competition. While signs of stabilization have emerged in the property market, persistent competitive pressures are significantly weighing on tender prices and profit margins. As a result, the construction division's overall performance in 2026 is expected to remain broadly consistent with levels achieved in 2025.
