CCB's Cumulative Dividends Since Listing Reach 1.4 Trillion Yuan! President Zhang Yi: Interim Payout Ratio Raised to 31%, Shareholder Approval Sought in H2

On August 28th, at the 2026 interim results conference, President Zhang Yi of China Construction Bank highlighted the bank's commitment to steady progress, quality enhancement, and high-quality connotative development this year. The group's H1 performance aligned with expectations, with sustained internal growth resilience, steady expansion, and coordinated scale and efficiency gains. Total assets reached 47.33 trillion yuan by the end of June, up 3.72% year-on-year, while total liabilities grew 3.69% to 43.49 trillion yuan.

Profitability improved quarter by quarter, with operating income climbing 10.48% to 426.33 billion yuan and pre-provision operating profit rising 13.07% to 328.01 billion yuan. Net profit attributable to shareholders increased 5.56% to 171.68 billion yuan, accelerating by 1.88 percentage points compared to the first quarter.

Zhang Yi noted that this stable yet progressive performance lays a solid foundation for sharing development outcomes with investors. Emphasizing the bank's focus on shareholder returns, he revealed cumulative dividends since listing have reached 1.4 trillion yuan. To further enhance investor value, the board has proposed an interim cash dividend of 2.010 yuan per ten shares for all ordinary shareholders, totaling approximately 52.58 billion yuan. The payout ratio is set to increase from 30% to 31%, with shareholder approval to be sought in the second half of 2026.
