Want Want China Holdings Limited disclosed that on 28 August 2026 it cancelled 18.63 million ordinary shares that had been repurchased between 17–25 August 2026. The cancellation reduced the company’s issued share capital by 0.16%, from 11.75 billion to 11.73 billion shares.
Seven separate repurchase tranches were cancelled, with volume-weighted average prices ranging from HKD 3.24 to HKD 3.31 per share.
In addition, 6.60 million shares repurchased on 26–28 August 2026 remain pending cancellation. Once settled, the company’s issued share count will decline further to approximately 11.73 billion shares.
Separately, Want Want China bought back another 2.00 million shares on 28 August 2026 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices between HKD 3.12 and HKD 3.17, for a total consideration of HKD 6.28 million. These shares are designated for cancellation.
Under the shareholder mandate approved on 25 August 2026, the company is authorised to repurchase up to 1.17 billion shares. Cumulative buybacks of 9.80 million shares represent 0.08% of that limit.
Pursuant to Hong Kong listing rules, Want Want China is subject to a 30-day moratorium on new share issues following the 28 August repurchase, expiring on 27 September 2026.
