On August 17, Guizhou Suanjia Computing Services Co., Ltd. sealed a partnership to jointly operate computing power with Beijing SiliconFlow and Guizhou Shujia Technology. Leveraging computing resources in the Guian New Area, the three parties will efficiently convert computing capacity into token services and establish a token factory. "The resource fit is strong, the cooperation is highly complementary, and building the token factory together is a natural step," said Yang Jiawei, General Manager of Suanjia Computing.
SiliconFlow, a leading AI infrastructure service provider in China, has amassed over 10 million registered users on its token supply platform. It will now deploy its full suite of AI computing operation solutions to local enterprises in Guian. "Every foundation was already laid, and we just happened to catch the AI boom," Yang told reporters. Suanjia's revenue surged from less than 10,000 yuan in 2022 to over 10 million yuan by 2025, and contract value in the first half of this year has already reached 50 million yuan, with full-year signings expected to exceed 100 million yuan.
On August 28, the 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo will open in Guiyang, themed "Tokens — A New Path to Unlocking the Value of Data Elements." Behind this collaboration lies the exponential growth of China's token economy. At the start of 2024, daily token calls nationwide stood at just 100 billion; by the end of 2025, that figure had jumped to 100 trillion, and by June this year it had surged to nearly 175 trillion.
In Guizhou, the brand direction of "Looking for tokens? Look to Guizhou" is already clear. A special support policy released in July offers subsidies of up to 500,000 yuan for enterprises purchasing large-model token call services, and rewards of up to 5 million yuan for building high-quality datasets. The "Guiyang-Guian Token Economy Three-Year Action Plan (2026–2028)" has also been finalized, aiming to strengthen intelligent computing services, data element supply, scenario-driven applications, and industrial ecosystem cultivation.
Refining Computing Power: From Whole-Machine Leasing to Per-Token Billing
Suanjia Computing was jointly incubated in January 2022 by the Guian Supercomputing Center and Guizhou University. It launched the Suanjia Cloud Platform in October 2024, and its Suanqiao API token platform officially opened this May. "The Suanjia Cloud Platform has nearly 60,000 registered users, with over 90% coming from computing-hungry provinces and cities like Guangdong, Shanghai, and Beijing," Yang noted. The Suanqiao API now hosts more than 60 mainstream large models including DeepSeek, Zhipu, and Kimi, with daily token calls exceeding 10 billion tokens within half a month of launch.
Suanjia packages computing power into token services, with customers paying based on the number of Tokens consumed. "Pay for what you use — the barrier is lower." Computing is now sliced into billable units by time and Token volume: "Charging starts when the machine is on and stops when it's off, making the billing logic more precise and flexible." This "fine-tuning of processes" began two years ago when Suanjia deployed a distributed computing scheduling system, lifting GPU utilization from the industry average of 30%–40% to 60%–70%. Combined with model inference layer optimization, platform pricing can reach roughly 50% of market averages.
The high proportion of out-of-province users on Guizhou's AI data factory reflects both the success of the "East Data, West Computing" initiative and the current stage of the local market, according to Yang. "Demand for computing from outside the province is higher than locally, and computing costs in the east are also higher than in Guizhou." Still, the company is actively expanding in-province collaboration: "Based on open-source ecosystems combined with industry data to build vertical small models, we can fully utilize our own computing resources." He also observed that some local AIGC companies still prefer to directly call official large-model APIs hosted outside the province, "but customers using open-source ecosystems to build industry agents can partner deeply with us — that's exactly the opportunity for Suanjia to grow its local ecosystem next."
The powerful computing foundation is rapidly converting into token services. Computing capacity in Guiyang-Guian has surpassed 174 EFLOPS, with intelligent computing accounting for over 98%. The province now has 50 data centers under construction or in operation, with 400G high-speed computing channels directly connecting to the Yangtze River Delta and Greater Bay Area. Computing utilization exceeds 96%, with out-of-province customers accounting for over 90%. In 2025, the province's computing operation service revenue reached 82.4 billion yuan.
Aggregating the Ecosystem: From Selling Computing to Selling Tokens
"Computing power is just the entry ticket," said Deng Mingsen, Dean of the School of Information at Guizhou University of Finance and Economics and Director of the Provincial Computing-Network Fusion Key Laboratory. Guizhou's true advantage, he argues, lies in the vast amounts of real, vertical, and professional industrial and public data scenarios accumulated through over a decade of industrial digital transformation.
In this leap from computing to tokens, local Guizhou enterprises are quickly staking their claims. "Daily Token call volumes on the platform have grown from under 3 billion at the start of 2026 to hundreds of billions now," said Peng Hailin, Director of DataBao's AI Token Line and rotating General Manager, on August 20, showcasing the latest figures from TokenBao.
In May, DataBao's TokenBao subsidiary was unveiled, spinning off its core token business. Leveraging the parent company's two decades of data governance expertise, it has built a comprehensive service system combining "intelligent routing and scheduling, industry-level optimization, and compliant, stable supply." "DataBao's core team has over twenty years of legally authorized data systems as its foundation — we can produce 'data-native' Tokens that others can't easily replicate," Peng explained. DataBao has established a national public data network, an idle computing scheduling network, and an all-scenario application network.
TokenBao is building China's first "Data API + Token API + Computing API" integrated full-chain platform — the Data API directly connects to over 50 ministries and commissions, 10-plus provinces, and hundreds of state-owned enterprises; the Computing API taps into a national intelligent computing base of millions of PFLOPS; and the Token API offers both general and vertical-track services. Previously, companies building AI applications had to interface with three separate APIs and three contracts for data, computing, and Tokens, often taking weeks to get running. Now, with "one connection, full-chain access," developers can connect everything in minutes.
Linking Scenarios: From Technology to Experience
On August 3, on Taiping Road in Yunyan District, Guiyang, the AI-powered tourism product "Banmeng Zhixing" by Ganshengtengwei Technology attracted over 2,000 users on its first day. "Scan a QR code, upload a photo, and within seconds you get a cyberpunk-style portrait of yourself on the old street." Ms. Chen, a tourist from Guangdong, immediately shared her personalized image on her social feed — the conversion rate hit roughly 50%. "Tourism is the easiest scenario for ordinary people to experience the value of AI," said Feng Yuwei, General Manager of Ganshengtengwei. "We need to turn abstract Tokens into products tourists can experience, purchase, and share."
"Banmeng Zhixing" has already been deployed at the "Red Ribbon" attraction, transforming visitors from "spectators of history" into creators of "retainable, shareable digital commemorative content." In the Yunyan district, the project has rolled out across Taiping Road, Minsheng Road, Shengfu Road, Dianshi Street, and Wenchang Pavilion. "Taiping Road gets the cyberpunk style, but Minsheng Road doesn't — that's a snack street with a more down-to-earth vibe," said project executive Liu Ziyun. The company is also partnering with the "Colorful Guizhou Wind" show at the Guiyang Grand Theater. "AI plus tourism is about capturing the emotion of a single moment," the team explains.
AI short dramas are also gaining momentum. At the Yunyan AI Data Factory, Guizhou Yalu Yinghua Digital Technology Co., Ltd. is pivoting from contract manufacturing to original production. "Before Chinese New Year this year, a one-minute commissioned drama fetched 2,000 yuan; after April, it dropped below 1,000," said General Manager Zou Hailong. A B-grade drama now takes two days to complete, an A-grade one a week, with "comprehensive costs at about one-tenth of traditional filmmaking." The company is working with the Guizhou Cultural Equity Exchange to develop local cultural IP.
"Three to five years from now, Guizhou won't simply be an industry that sells raw Tokens — it will form a new AI industrial ecosystem integrating computing supply, token production, model services, scenario applications, and value settlement. In the token economy era, Guizhou should leap from selling computing power to selling AI production capacity," Deng Mingsen concluded.
