A tanker sailing in waters near Oman was hit by an unidentified projectile, according to a report from the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).
The vessel's master reported the strike occurred nine nautical miles northeast of Ash Shihr, Oman. The attack left the ship without power, though the crew has been confirmed safe.
In response, maritime authorities have advised vessels in the area to proceed with caution while navigating the region.
