Beijing Wantai Biological's Recombinant RSV Vaccine Approved for Clinical Trials

Beijing Wantai Biological Pharmacy Enterprise Co.,Ltd. (603392.SH) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Wantai Canghai, has received a clinical trial approval notice from the National Medical Products Administration for its recombinant respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine (CHO cell). The recombinant RSV vaccine (CHO cell) was jointly developed by Xiamen University and Wantai Canghai. It is a recombinant protein vaccine produced using genetic engineering technology and CHOZN® cells. Its main active ingredient is a self-developed prefusion conformation membrane fusion protein F of RSV. Preclinical data indicate that the vaccine has a favorable safety profile and can induce RSV-specific protective immune responses in various animal models, including mice, rats, cotton rats, and cynomolgus monkeys.
