HTSC reported interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, posting a 54.87% year-on-year jump in profit attributable to shareholders to RMB11.69 billion.
Total revenue, gains and other income rose 49.23% to RMB31.31 billion, driven mainly by wealth management (RMB15.63 billion) and international business (RMB6.57 billion). Institutional services contributed RMB7.18 billion, while investment management added RMB2.16 billion.
Profit before tax climbed 61.55% to RMB13.77 billion. Basic earnings per share increased to RMB1.25 from RMB0.80; diluted EPS reached RMB1.19. Return on equity advanced to 6.30% from 4.30% a year earlier.
The board declared an interim cash dividend of RMB0.18 per share (tax inclusive), representing 13.90% of first-half net profit and totalling approximately RMB1.62 billion.
Total assets expanded 25.46% to RMB1.35 trillion, while total liabilities grew 30.45% to RMB1.14 trillion. Equity attributable to shareholders increased 4.45% to RMB216.14 billion. Net capital improved to RMB99.80 billion from RMB94.57 billion, and the risk coverage ratio stood at 262.55%.
Operating cash flow recorded an outflow of RMB10.45 billion versus RMB5.44 billion in the prior-year period, reflecting higher client deposits and trading activity.
Management highlighted sustained momentum across all business lines, citing technology-enabled wealth management, expanding institutional services and robust international operations as key growth drivers during the period.
