SICHUAN EXPRESS Nominates Finance Veteran Zhang Lihu as Non-Executive Director

Sichuan Expressway Company Limited (SICHUAN EXPRESS) has nominated Mr. Zhang Lihu, aged 56, for election as a non-executive director in the Group’s ninth-session board. The appointment remains subject to shareholder approval at an upcoming general meeting.\n\nZhang holds a master’s degree in public administration from Beijing Normal University and is a professor-level senior accountant as well as a non-practising member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants. His career spans senior finance roles within Sichuan Transportation Investment Group and Shudao Investment Group, including posts as chief financial officer, supervisory committee member and external director across multiple subsidiaries involved in expressway and railway investments.\n\nIf elected, Zhang’s tenure will run until the end of the ninth board session. Under the board’s current remuneration framework, he will not receive compensation for the non-executive director role. The company will execute a service contract with Zhang upon approval of his appointment.\n\nAs of the 27 August 2026 announcement date, the board comprises five executive directors, one current non-executive director and four independent non-executive directors. Zhang confirms no shareholding in SICHUAN EXPRESS and no material relationships with existing directors, senior management or substantial shareholders.
