On August 26, the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (E-Town) announced a strategic partnership between E-Town Robotics Company and Xi'an Tangqing Robotics Technology Co., Ltd., marking a major step for embodied intelligence in China's northwest. The collaboration will center on the "Tangqing Embodied Intelligence Robot Exploration Center" located within the Chang'an Cloud·Xi'an Science and Technology Museum, aiming to advance both the practical application and public education of embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics in the region.
Serving as the first dedicated scientific and application base for embodied intelligence in the northwest, the 6,000-square-meter center tackles a common issue in robot showcases: heavy emphasis on static displays with limited real-world utility or visitor interaction. The new initiative will replace the traditional "isolated" exhibition format with a dynamic experience featuring live full-robot demonstrations, deep human-machine engagement, and immersive educational programs, ensuring that advanced technology moves beyond the lab and into everyday use.
The two parties will focus on three key areas of collaboration. On the front of dynamic scene application, E-Town Robotics will deliver proven robotic solutions to keep the Xi'an venue equipped with frequent, high-quality live demonstrations and hands-on capabilities. In terms of scientific education, they will develop a curriculum tailored to youth learning that makes embodied intelligence accessible, engaging, and educational. Additionally, their cross-regional coordination efforts will kick off with the deployment of the first batch of robotics ecosystem resources, boosting the northwest's tech education and robotics industry.
Meng Yanpei, Director of the Commercial Operations Division at E-Town Robotics, called real-world application scenarios the "lifeblood" of embodied intelligence development. He emphasized that the company will leverage its full industrial chain expertise to make technology an accessible experience for people in the northwest, positioning the exploration center as a benchmark for scientific innovation education in the region.
Wen Xuqiang, General Manager of Xi'an Tangqing, highlighted Beijing E-Town's status as a national hub for robotics technology. He noted that Xi'an will benefit from shared access to cutting-edge resources, and through live demonstrations and immersive interactions, the center will bridge the gap between advanced robotics and the public, particularly inspiring the region's youth. Following the signing, the two partners will immediately begin coordinating the initial resource allocation and exhibition preparations, working together to ensure robotics technology continues to gain traction across the northwest.
