Jun 15

Data collected over the past 24 hours for the Liquor Price Index indicates a significant overall recovery in the average terminal retail prices for major Chinese baijiu products on June 15th.

If one bottle of each major product were packaged and sold together, the total price today would be 9,945 yuan, a substantial increase of 39 yuan from yesterday, marking the highest point in 23 days after two consecutive days of gains.

The market has shown a clear recovery following earlier low-level fluctuations, with terminal trading sentiment warming up.

Today, with the exception of minor declines for Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ and Crystal Jiannanchun, all other varieties either rose or held steady, driving the total price closer to the 9,950 yuan line.

Key Price Movements

Among the eleven major baijiu products today, eight rose, two fell, and one was flat, with gainers holding a clear advantage.

On the upside, Gujing Gong Jiu Gu 20 led the gains, rising 8 yuan per bottle to reach its second-highest level since the start of June.

Qinghua Lang rose 7 yuan per bottle, reclaiming the 700 yuan mark and hitting its highest price since entering June.

Wuliangye Pu Wu Eighth Generation and Qinghua Fen 20 both increased by 4 yuan per bottle.

Feitian Moutai rose 2 yuan per bottle, ending a previous four-day losing streak.

On the downside, Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ and Crystal Jiannanchun both saw minor declines of 1 yuan per bottle.

The price for Wuliangye 1618 remained unchanged from the previous period, still matching its lowest price record in nearly a month.

About the Data

The daily data for the Liquor Price Index originates from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions nationwide.

These points include, but are not limited to, designated distributors by liquor companies, independent distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets.

The raw sample data consists of real, transacted terminal retail prices handled by each point over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable data on the market prices of well-known baijiu products.

Following the official launch of sales for Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle on the iMoutai platform (adjusted to 1,539 yuan per bottle on March 31st) and for Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle (adjusted to 2,359 yuan per bottle on May 16th), the gravitational influence of this new sales channel on the terminal retail prices of these two products is gradually becoming apparent.

The daily liquor prices published by the Index adhere to a calculation rule weighted by real transaction volume, and verifiable prices from this channel have been incorporated into the terminal retail price calculations for these two products.
