The 2026 Langfang Low-Altitude Economy Industry Science and Technology Achievement Matchmaking Conference was recently held at the Tsinghua University pilot base in Gu'an County, as reported by Langfang Daily.
Representatives from universities and research institutes in Beijing and Tianjin, local enterprises, investors, and technology service organizations gathered to focus on the commercialization of low-altitude field technological achievements, aiming to build a demonstration hub for low-altitude economy application scenarios in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The event was hosted by the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, organized by the Municipal Productivity Promotion Center, and co-organized by the Municipal Low-Altitude Economy Association. It focused on the transfer and transformation of low-altitude scientific and technological achievements, clearing the key pathways for research results to move from the laboratory to industrial applications.
The initiative seeks to activate new quality productive forces in the low-altitude economy through innovation-driven development, leverage Langfang's core geographical advantages in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, absorb the spillover of scientific and technological innovation resources from Beijing and Tianjin, and drive the efficient linkage of technology, talent, and capital elements.
During the matchmaking session, experts from Tsinghua University, the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beihang University, and Beijing Institute of Technology presented their research results in sequence, showcasing a range of cutting-edge technologies including long-endurance drones, laser security equipment, AI low-altitude inspection systems, and multispectral imaging systems.
These technologies cover multiple practical application scenarios such as inspection and security, emergency rescue, and urban governance, demonstrating the strong research capabilities and broad industrial prospects in the low-altitude sector.
"The low-altitude economy is not only a national strategic emerging industry but also a vital engine for promoting collaborative innovation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region," said a representative from the Langfang Low-Altitude Economy Association.
The association stated it will serve as a government assistant, industry bridge, and industrial platform, continuously building collaborative channels between government, enterprises, universities, and research institutions to facilitate the landing and transformation of advanced technologies from Beijing and Tianjin in Langfang.
Additionally, the association will link multiple resources to promote the construction of demonstration scenarios in urban governance, ecological protection, and emergency security, transforming scientific and technological advantages into industrial development advantages and guiding the industry toward standardized and orderly growth.
Taking this matchmaking conference as a starting point, the Municipal Low-Altitude Economy Association will continue to gather innovation elements from Beijing, Tianjin, and locally, establish a normalized platform for industry-university-research exchange and cooperation, conduct research and discussions around industry development difficulties and pain points, and strengthen industry safety management and professional talent cultivation.
The association will promote the continuous improvement of the low-altitude industry ecosystem, widely link research institutions and business entities to seize industrial opportunities, boost the quality and efficiency of Langfang's low-altitude economy, and inject new momentum into the collaborative development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
