On the afternoon of September 1st, Honor unveiled its self-developed humanoid robots, Lightning and Yuanzai, in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, sparking widespread interest among local tech enthusiasts and the general public.

The robot named Lightning has previously broken human world records in the 100-meter sprint with a time of 8.83 seconds and in the half-marathon with a time of 50 minutes and 26 seconds. Its performance is built upon Honor's long-standing expertise in consumer electronics, including thermal dissipation technology, materials science, lightweight structural design, and hardware reliability.

Looking ahead, Honor's robotics division will concentrate its efforts on the consumer market. According to IDC data, during the first half of 2026, Honor was the only Chinese Android manufacturer globally to achieve positive shipment growth, posting a 9% growth rate, which made it the fastest-growing major Android vendor worldwide.

In regional markets, Honor captured over 50% of the foldable phone market share in key regions such as Malaysia and Singapore during the second quarter, ranking first in both. Additionally, in the Middle East, the company has consistently held one of the top two positions in smartphone market share for two consecutive quarters.
