China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. (CIMC) has filed to renew its direct market financing capacity, applying to the National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors for unified registration and subsequent issuance of debt-financing instruments (DFI) with an aggregate ceiling of RMB15.00 billion.
The planned registration will cover a broad spectrum of instruments—including super & short-term commercial papers, short-term commercial papers, medium-term notes, perpetual notes, asset-backed notes, green DFI and private placement notes—providing CIMC with the flexibility to issue in tranches as market conditions and funding needs evolve. Pricing will reference prevailing market rates and the group’s AAA domestic credit profile.
Proceeds are earmarked for repayment of bank loans and bonds, liquidity supplementation and other compliant funding requirements. Issuances may be executed publicly or privately in China’s interbank bond market through centralized book building and placement.
The board approved the proposal at its 13th meeting of the eleventh session on 28 August 2026, and will seek shareholder confirmation at the forthcoming general meeting. Chairman Mai Boliang, or an authorised representative, has been empowered to manage all procedural, regulatory and disclosure matters until the expiry of the Association’s registration notice.
The initiative follows CIMC’s earlier RMB15.00 billion DFI registration completed on 10 April 2025, which remains valid until 10 April 2027. Upon effectiveness of the new registration, issuances will shift exclusively to the fresh quota, with no overlap between the old and new limits. Approval from the Association is pending, and the company has cautioned investors about the inherent uncertainties in the registration outcome.
CIMC will continue to disclose progress in accordance with regulatory requirements.
