The harvest season for fresh-eating corn has officially commenced in Heilongjiang Province, widely known as China's "Great Northern Granary."
On August 19, harvesting operations were underway in the fresh corn fields managed by the Second Management Area of Heilongjiang Rongjun Farm Co., Ltd., part of the Beidahuang Group. Additional harvest activities were captured on August 21 in a fresh corn plot in Beilin District, Suihua City, where a machine operator was driving a harvester through the field.
Further east, on August 23, harvesting continued in a fresh corn plot in Jianshan District, Shuangyashan City, with an operator working the machinery to collect the crop. Meanwhile, on August 21, freshly harvested corn ears were being unloaded onto tractors in Beilin District, Suihua City, ready for transport away from the field.
Across the province's primary planting regions, farmers are seizing the favorable weather window to carry out harvest operations in succession. On August 20, harvesting was in progress at the fresh corn plot of Heilongjiang Jianshan Farm Co., Ltd., under the Beidahuang Group.
By August 22, operations continued at the Fourth Management Area of Heilongjiang Jianshe Farm Co., Ltd., where freshly picked corn was being loaded onto trucks for shipment, while another machine operator was simultaneously conducting harvest work in the same plot.
Processing of the fresh corn has also kicked off in tandem with the harvest, creating a bustling scene both in the fields and at the processing facilities. On August 22, workers were busy on the production line at a fresh corn processing workshop in Jianshan District, Shuangyashan City, with additional workers engaged in the same facility that day.
