Saudi Arabia's state-backed artificial intelligence company Humain, established last year, announced on Monday a series of partnerships with several American startups, with projects set to be deployed at data centers in Riyadh and Dammam.

Together AI, a firm that rents out computing power to developers for AI model training and inference, has agreed to share a portion of its client revenue with Humain. In exchange, Humain will supply the startup with 250 megawatts of electricity and 120,000 chips from Nvidia, AMD, and Qualcomm. This collaboration is projected to generate over $5 billion in annualized gross revenue in its first year.

MinIO, which specializes in software for storing and retrieving massive volumes of unstructured data, will take the lead in designing and developing the Humain Fabric data platform. This platform, responsible for storing the data required for system operations, will be marketed jointly by both companies. The service will initially launch in Saudi Arabia before expanding to international markets.

Humain's growth strategy centers on leveraging Saudi Arabia's inexpensive land and energy resources to build a sovereign-grade AI champion. The company has already signed agreements with Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm, and Groq.

Humain's chief executive, Tariq Amin, told the Financial Times last year that the project's estimated total investment stands at $77 billion. The plan aims to achieve 250 megawatts of computing capacity by early 2027 and scale up to 6 gigawatts by 2034.
